accounting student shelley (pictured) is blogging through the cpa firm recruiting process. and, she’s having a ball!
she’s joined the professional program in accounting at texas a&m (class of ’09) at college station. it means she’ll stay at a&m an extra year, but graduate with a bs and a masters.
“i’ve received the recruiting schedules for four of the six firms i’m interviewing with and i’m excited! to name a few events, there’s a spa day, golf lessons at the traditions club, skeet shooting, mystery dinner, paint ball, pottery painting, dessert tasting, tailgating at a few a&m baseball games, etc.”
more day by day:
- last week was my first pre-interview dinner and interview with rsm mcgladrey.
- tuesday night was the first of the big 4 pre-interview events, ernst and young.
- wednesday night was kpmg’s dinner.
- thursday night was the pricewaterhousecoopers dinner.
“a-whoop!” indeed!
sounds great, shelley. we’re rooting for you!
