be active and vocal in your state cpa society. join local business groups. volunteer to speak at any event, seminar, meeting or conference that should have a tax or financial angle. proactively propose topics that address current challenges such as tax law changes, financial planning and anything else relating to your firm’s services.

2. networking events

participate in networking events and meetups where financial professionals gather.
