mckinsey global has been researching the impact of automation around the world, and (no surprise) found that when companies try to retrofit technology to fit into existing processes, “companies end up with a patchwork of incongruous technology tools that automate separate and distinct parts of the process. this approach is fine for capturing the first 5 percent or so of automation’s impact. but unlocking the full potential requires a fundamentally different way of thinking. to capture that potential, managers must be willing to re-engineer their processes completely.”

fcc chair jessica rosenworcel suggested the new regulations, and they would allow meager power (vlp) operations – which means their signals won’t be able to travel very far – in about 850 mhz of the spectrum. under the regulations, devices may “use higher power levels” if they are geofenced to avoid interfering with genuine permitted 6ghz usage. additionally, the fcc will be accepting opinions on ways it can increase the use of the 6ghz spectrum by technological devices.

some of our clients reside near us in los angeles, where the average annual temperature is a very comfortable 65 degrees. in southern california, our “seasons” don’t vary much from the average annual temperature of 65. other clients reside in new york city, where the average temperature is cooler, but still a very comfortable 56 degrees. however, the temperature swings are much more significant in the big apple, ranging from stifling heat and humidity in the summer to icy temperatures and falling snow in winter.
